This a one of those places that is regularly fished by boat owners looking for Bass, Bream and many of the other local species. It's a great place for Kayaks too with a number of small creeks feeding in along the river and plenty of structure in the form of submerged trees, rocky banks, bridges and over grown shrubs. Most Angler's fish for Bass in this area and although there's not always a large number of fish, however the ones you do catch are usually at the larger end of the scale. This is another place that fishes well with Surface lures and again your looking at larger lures like Eastcoast's Wombat-Wizz and Sic-Cada and the paddling lures like the Halco Night Walker and Arbogast Jitterbug.
I've caught a number of fish on Spinnerbaits and small divers working them around the shoreline where you have over hanging shrubs. Keep an eye on your sounder when paddling as many Bass have also been raised from the deep holes nearer to the centre of the river using 3" Curl Tail or Hawg patterns with 1/8oz or even 1/4oz jigheads depending on the strength of the current.

The other fantastic thing about this area is the number of areas where you can pull up on the bank and hop out of the Yak to get some good photos, etc... Team this up with a huge ramp and parking and this is one very enjoyable spot to fish.
